Roberto Cardinale presents the Bell Tower of the Annunciation Benedictine Monastery, designed by Hungarian-born, Bauhaus-trained architect Marcel Breuer andconstructed from 1959 to 1963.

An interplay between artistic expression and sacred devotion, Roberto Cardinale creates this interpretation of the Annunciation Monastery to honor the site for the spiritual revelation it is. Cardinale captures several elements that nod to the sculpture’s original counterpart, including its roofline highlighting mixtures of rich texture. He also sculpts the likeness of exterior embellishments, working with swinging bells to honor its exquisite detail.
